Victoria Memorial

If at first you don’t succeed …… Last week I set out to re-use my Buckingham Palace tickets but foolishly didn’t check what I needed to do and just turned up on spec.  This week I rang ahead and booked our slot.  After a picnic and Pokémon in Green Park we ambled toward the Palace at the appointed hour (more about our visit later this week!) when the glittering gold of the Winged Victory statue atop of the Victoria Memorial caught my eye.  All the colours looked so intense, the  sky picture book blue, the white stone was almost as dazzling as the glinting gold, it begged to photographed.

It is such a stunning statue anyway, but you’ve really caught it at its best there against the blue sky.

The Victoria Memorial includes the four gates and flower beds as well as this, they really pushed the boat out for her!

It’s stunning and so majestic in all it’s glory. I think you’re right, the brightness of the gold contrasted against the bright blue of the sky is stunning. Great photo
