One of my favourite things to do in the summer is visit Garsons Farm, a pick your own farm near to our house. Every year I think that maybe the Junior CW’s will consider themselves too grown-up to pick strawberries. This week the teachers’ strike delivered us an unexpected day off and when asked what they would like to do with the day, back came the answer, Garsons. We headed off with two friends and a picnic and came back with a car load of fruit and veg. Not shown in this photo is the most enormous marrow, a quarter of which is now a rather tasty chocolate cake ……. any other marrow ideas will be gratefully received.
