Welcome to the June edition of #CulturedKids.  How exciting to type that for the first time!  Last month #CulturedKids founder, Nell Heshram of Travel with the Pigeon Pair and Me, asked me to co-host and now its my turn to circulate with the wine and nibbles for the first time.

Many of us are on half-term this week and doubtless indulging in many different cultural experiences with our children, I look forward to reading about them in the June #CulturedKids link-up.

Thank you to everybody who linked up in May.  My favourites in the order that they popped up were:

The Ulster American Folk Park by Daisy the Bus.  Jonny Orr turned the wheels of Daisy away from their usual stamping ground of mainland Europe and toward his homeland of Ireland.  Once there they visited the Folk Park which is an open air museum that tells the story of Irish emigration to the United States around the turn of last century.  Do click on the link if you missed this engrossing tale.

Arbeia Roman Fort – South Shields by Here Come the Hoopers told of another visit back to childhood haunts.  This time Cat Hooper visited the impressive Roman remains at South Shields with its views over the Tyne to North Shields and the end of Hadrians Wall.  Click on the link for more Roman facts.
