Kite surfers

When we got Bergen aan Zee in the North Holland Dune Reserve we could see golden sand between the gap between the dunes. We could also see Kite surfers at Bergen aan Zee. That should have been a hint. Once through that gap, sand slammed into us at high speed.  The teens declared that there would truly be sand in the sandwiches, if we sat there and ate our picnic.  We managed to find a spot in the lee of a beach hut and watched the kite surfers taking advantage of the wind whilst we munched on sand free sandwiches.

I’d love to have a go at this, I suspect you have to be very strong in your arms which I’m not but it does look amazing.

I love your pic. I have a few younger friends who are obsessed with kite surfing. They haven’t yet managed to persuade me to give it a go though.

Very moody sky there. Sea also looks a bit rough but I guess that’s the wind you need for kite surfing. #MySundayphoto

We watched kite surfers in Wales and sat for ages just watching them go back and forth. Sand free sandwiches sound good too 🙂
