Happy New Year and welcome to #CulturedKids January 2018.
How was your Christmas and New Year? We made full use of our membership of the Royal Institution as the teens attended the annual Christmas Lectures on their own and WiFi Wars with us. GCSE course work has begun in the CW household, one of the set texts is Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol so we combined our Christmas entertainment with a pinch education with visits to A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic and to the Charles Dickens Museum. For Christmas itself we headed up to Norfolk to visit my family and made ventured down into Suffolk and Southwold for a stroll along the beach with even more relatives on Boxing Day.
Thank you for linking up to #CulturedKids in December, the posts that particularly caught my eye were:
Suitcases and Sandcastles Ultimate Guide to Royal London. Clare took us to all the expected Royal sites like Buckingham Palace and suggested other less known destinations like the Household Cavalry Museum.
As you read this the CW family will be in Rome for a quick New Year visit, so I was especially interested to read Katie from Untold Morsels account of Adventures in Rome with Rome4Kids tours was clickbait for me.
National Trust properties are a favourite of ours, we also like an art installation and love treehouses; so Plutonium Sox’s post about a treehouse inspired by Robert Adam at Croome was a winner with me. Croome was a new National Trust property to me, so now its got me plotting a reason a visit!
Have you had any cultural adventures with children recently? You can link them up to January’s #CulturedKids with Nell over at The Pigeon Pair and Me, don’t forget to add the badge to your post.
